New Sunseeker Resort Coming to Port Charlotte

For years Allegiant Air has been offering flights out of the Punta Gorda airport and now they have unveiled plans for a brand new Sunseeker resort encompassing 20 acres overlooking the Charlotte Harbor.

Charlotte County has not had a major tourism boost in years. This resort would revitalize an area of Port Charlotte that never returned to its former glory after Hurricane Charley in 2004.

The resort plans include condominiums, a hotel, restaurants, bars, a marina, shops and outdoor recreations. Allegiant Air plans to make sure every aspect of this resort has a water view, to allow guests to take in the Florida waterfront lifestyle.

When the new Sunseeker resort is completed it will be the largest of it's kind in Florida, but for now it is still in the permitting stage. The expected build out time is 18 months and it is sure to peak many residents and tourists interest over that time.
