Two New Sarasota Hotspots

Sarasota has witnessed an economic boom in the past couple years; with an influx new homes, communities, bars, shops and restaurants.

It seems like there is a new establishment opening up every month. Recently the Lazy Parrot opened in Sarasota and the Grand Cru Wine Bar began construction on Main Street.

The Lazy Parrot is quickly becoming a popular choice to locals, no surpise  with its Key West Style vibe with live music and numerous televisions for sports fans. Along with a full bar, there is speciality cocktails, beer on top and an impressive wine selection. The restaurant features both indoor and patio seating. There is a full menu, featuring seafood specialities and Key West style entrees. The Lazy Parrot brings a different restaurant experience to an area of Sarasota that does not have many dining options, do not miss an opportunity to escape to Key West for a couple of hours.

Wine tastings, vineyards and bars are becoming more popular in today's society. In August, Sarasota will see the opening of Grand Cru Wine Bar with over a 100 by glass wine options and 24 different wine specialities on tap. Located in the heart of downtown Sarasota right on mainstreet, the new wine bar is over 2,000 square feet and will be able to hold up to 60 patrons. Wine selections will come from Spain, France, Germany, California and Oregon. An added bonus will be a selection of local craft beers, featuring the craft beers from local Sarasota breweries.
